You learned your native language from its home country. You were born and raised there, but you've come here. Will you always be better? Will I never be as good as you?
Doesn't anybody know?...
Anyway...Moving on from disheartening questions about language...Here's another question, and it has a preamble to it.
I thought of something randomly the other day; Marked Invasion. There currently is no definition for "marked invasion" other than a possibly-existing medical def'n. Now, I want it to mean something. So tell me, what do YOU think a "marked invasion" is/means? I'm curious to hear your thoughts!
POO. So Sports Day was postponed until spring due to "construction" or some load of Xizor like that. We can't have Sports Day on the field, no, but every PE class can have class out there! STUPID SPORTS DAY POSTPONEMENT DECIDERS! Gah! And I even bought a pink shirt for it (I think I'll put it on and take a picture for you all since "krista" [if that is his real name] wants me to...)! But whatever. Spring *might* be better. Might.
So would more "Where Plans Fall Down" be welcome? If it would be, I'll write more. I've already got ideas churning at the hands of the Amish boy in my head. Just say the word.

ok fyi that first thing makes NO SENSE at all... anyway
you have two thirds of it -- Marked Invasion SITE! its a place that has been marked by the army under Xizor as attack points. current sites include washington dc, kansas, and texas. too bad garret's hometowns!
so Sports day.... its like big kid field day hha. too bad, what kind ofstuff you do for pe? sounds intriguing.
write all the stories you want, ill be here to post my opinion.
are you talking about somebody in that first one? cause if it's specifically about a native language speaker versus a foreign one, then yes, the native speaker will nine times out of ten be better, and always better, just because they grew up thinking in that language. it's a big complicated thing that goleski explained to us in ninth grade...like say there's a couple made up of a native spanish-speaking mom and a native english-speaking dad and they wanna have a bilingual child, each parent can only speak to the child in that language (spanish for the mom, english for the dad) until the kid's like 3 or 4 years old...at that point, they'll be completely bilingual. unfortunately for those of us who were raised on one language, we can never be that good because our brains are already trained in english or whatever.
but somehow i feel like whatever you were talking about there goes deeper than language....
anyway, nice post title! Baa Neigh Yaweh {Yeah}...can't say i've heard that one before, and i especially appreciate the {} thingies around "yeah". anybody know what they're called? mccloskey calls them curly braces but i feel like that's too straightforward....
anyway, i'm slightly beating around the bush here.
marked invasion - it's when you have a plan to blow up some place but because you're bad with directions like me you have to put a big target mark in the middle of it so you'll know when you get there. ha-ha.
i would totally do that, too. and when people asked me why i was painting a big target mark with spray paint in the middle of the street i would be all "oh, well i'm planning to invade here tomorrow and set off a bomb, but i'm kinda bad with directions so i want to make sure i get the location right." :P
aawww, sports day was postponed? laaaaame. clearly you should come back to SA for polo hockey nights.
jk.
but do get the pink shirt picture up! then i'll like send you one of me in a pink shirt and we can morph them and become the PINK POKEMAFIA. or something like that.
and if you want to write more where plans fall down, go for it! i'm really interested in seeing where it goes from where you started! but don't force it, of course.
lol about the amish boy.
but yeah i'm gonna go watch them talk more about biden and palin on CNN now so i must bid my comment adieu. thanks for posting and do so again soon!
oh and my bad for not posting until now, i feel so bad for being two days late but i had a really rough week at school with like seven tests and quizzes and junk....
OMGSH I FORGOT SOMETHING!!!
okay so for XC we went to dinner at billy's house and then we played videogames and i forget which one we played but it had like POKEMON in it so when it was my turn i was like okay i don't know which character to be but i picked the pokemon trainer which was a combination of squirtle, ivysaur, and charizard!!! charizard pwned though. and then billy said something about oh yeah krista you would pick pokemon. apparently he's heard way too many science olympiad stories, haha.
but hopefully not all of them, that's our [the team's] little secret. ;)
but yeah haha sorry i had to bring that up.
and lucario was an optional character too but i didn't realize that at the time. i liked the SICK (Squirtle Ivysaur Charizard Krista--- hah!) combo better though, even though i totally lost because i didn't know which buttons to push so i just pushed any of them at random times and died because i tried to climb the mountain.
